The iconic Ellen Allien’s journey through the years is a blueprint for a healthy underground community and grounded career in music. Her playful mind and openness to sharing knowledge, imbues her art with an energy and inspiration that’s been highly influential to the subculture across music, art, design and fashion in her native Berlin. A constant source of new ideas, energy and inspiration, Ellen’s comprehensive knowledge and intuitive approach to music is part of her genetic makeup, she has cultivated her own identity while also guiding the evolution of electronic music worldwide. Her future-facing sound takes influence from the early pioneers of techno, while painting a vivid, prophetic image of where we’re going next. Over ten albums, and countless singles, EPs, remixes and collaborations, Ellen’s carved her own niche in dark rave and techno, and presiding over a self-made empire and deep roots in the community.
In her role as head of BPitch since 1999, and UFO Inc. since 2019, Ellen channels her ceaseless passion for digging into A&R, seeking out and nurturing new talent, alongside established artists and friends.
